השיטה isAlphabetic(intcodePoint) של מחלקה Character קובעת אם התו שצוין הוא אלפבית או לא.

תו נחשב לאלפבית אם יש לו את המאפיינים הבאים:

• אות גדולה
• אות קטנה
• TITLECASE_LETTER
• MODIFIER_LETTER
• OTHER_LETTER
• LETTER_NUMBER או
• אלפביתים אחרים המוגדרים על ידי תקן Unicode.
